First Visit With Friends

We are in the midst of a week at the Bravos Bungalows with friends and enjoying the stay for the first time that we are not in a construction zone. We are very pleased with everything especially the pool and the progress the gardens have made in such a short time. We have also had six or seven rentals and the reviews have been good and we have enjoyed reading the reviews left with us in the visitors log at the bungalows. The decor seems to be hitting the mark for visitors. We are sharing the beautiful beaches of Vieques with some of our closest friends and they love them. The seemed to enjoy Sun Bay over Blue Beach which was a surprise to us. Blue Beach What beach on Vieques do you like best?

The Bookings at the Bungalows have been encouraging through January and February and we have received some excellent reviews. In addition to the five star reviews we have received some excellent feedback from guests that will make future renters stays even more enjoyable. Thanks for the feedback. We will implement them. Case in point – iPod docking stations for both pool and garden bungalows as well as wifi boosters for better coverage throughout the compound…CHECK. We look forward to more renters booking the Bungalows as a base to explore this incredible island!

Serious About Politics

While we were in Vieques the local and state elections were taking place. Puerto Ricans it turns out are very passionate about their politics with voter turnout that would be the envy of most democracies. The passion was equally displayed on Vieques. Trucks with blaring political messages blasting through loudspeakers were in full force leading up to the election. Political signs with the smiling faces of various local and state politicians were proudly plastered everywhere. On the evening of Election Day we were too tired of our renovation chores so we decided to eat in instead of going out. I headed into Isabel to pick up some pizza at Williams. As I headed into the plaza I came upon a road block and I could see a large crowd waving signs gathered in front of the municipal offices. I ass

O’s Are Important

We are heading to Vieques tomorrow to set up the bungalows with furniture. We have deployed an “international less than container load freight consolidator”, FedEx, UPS, Sears, and the USPS to get items there. In total we have been tracking more than 40 shipments. We do not even want to speculate how much of it will arrive on time and in what condition, but we are excited about finally furnishing and decorating both units. We will have our first renters over the Christmas Holidays, and maybe some even some sooner. Laurel has sewn curtains, throws, and pillows and I was tasked with getting eleven boxes shipped to the Bungalows. We live close to the border of upstate New York so I opted to send them via USPS as from all accounts this would be the most economical as well as a trus
